A brand sponsoring a Twitch stream is buying attention it can count, and the number it counts first is your average concurrent viewers. In the 30 days to October 18, 2026, 20,004 Twitch channels that streamed at least 10 hours averaged 100 viewers or more. Smaller channels get sponsored too, usually with products, codes and niche deals rather than paid integrations, and knowing which group you are in saves you a lot of unanswered emails.
How many viewers do you need to get sponsored on Twitch?
There is no official cut-off. What exists is a ranking, and brands work down it. Here is where each average-viewer level puts you on Twitch, counting channels that streamed 10+ hours in the 30 days to October 18, 2026.
| Average viewers | Twitch channels at or above it | Median hours streamed | Median followers gained |
|---|---|---|---|
| 10 | 182,246 | 44 (10 to 24 viewers) | 17 |
| 25 | 71,015 | 50 (25 to 49) | 34 |
| 50 | 37,659 | 58 (50 to 99) | 64 |
| 100 | 20,004 | 64 (100 to 249) | 130 |
| 250 | 8,548 | 68 (250 to 499) | 311 |
| 500 | 4,215 | 74 (500 to 999) | 612 |
| 1,000 | 1,902 | 86 (1,000 to 4,999) | 1,452 |
At 100 average viewers you are inside the top 20,000 channels on Twitch. At 1,000 you are in the top 2,000, a group small enough that brands can name most of it. Between 25 and 100 viewers you are visible to brands that sponsor by niche rather than by reach, which is where most first deals come from.
The hours column matters as much as the viewers column. Bigger channels stream more: the median channel averaging 100 to 249 viewers was live 64 hours in the month, against 44 hours for channels at 10 to 24. Anyone booking you for a month wants to know you will actually be on air.
Twitch sponsorship for small streamers
Under 100 viewers, a classic paid integration is rare. The deals that do work at this size are product seeding (gear, games or snacks in exchange for honest coverage), affiliate codes that pay per sale, and the listings in Twitch's own Sponsorship tab. Twitch's Creator Camp page on sponsorships says those listings show the provider, the rate and the deliverables, and that a complete Creator Profile helps sponsors find you.
Niche beats size here. A channel of 150 viewers who all play one strategy game is worth more to that game's publisher than 400 viewers who drift between whatever is trending. Write down the one audience you reach better than anyone, and pitch to the brands that sell to it.
What brands check on your channel first
Most brands and agencies look you up on a stats site before they reply. Make sure the numbers there tell the same story as your pitch.
Average viewers, not peak
Peak viewers flatter every channel, so experienced buyers discount them. Across Twitch channels averaging 100 to 249 viewers, the median channel's 30-day peak was 2.4 times its average, and one channel in ten had a peak more than 8.4 times its average. Lead with your average. Mention a peak only with its reason, such as a raid or a game launch.
Consistency
Sponsors look for a schedule in your history, and they can see it. The median channel at 100 to 249 viewers streamed on 16 different days in the month; at 1,000 to 4,999 viewers it was 18. Long gaps read as risk, even when your average is fine.
Followers against viewers
Followers alone say little, but the ratio says a lot. Among Twitch channels averaging 100 to 999 viewers that streamed 40+ hours, the median had 116 followers per average viewer and gained about one new follower per average viewer during the month. One in ten had fewer than 24 followers per viewer. A channel that low gets questions about where its viewers come from, so if yours is unusual for a good reason (a community that moved with you from another platform, for example), say so up front.
Language, country and games
Brands buy markets. Your stream language, your country and the games you play decide whether you are even on the list, which is why a narrow, consistent category helps more than a big variety menu.
What to put in a Twitch sponsorship media kit
Keep it to one page and use numbers a brand can check on your public stats:
- average concurrent viewers for the last 30 days, and the trend over the last three months
- hours streamed and days live per month
- hours watched for the last 30 days, which brands use to estimate delivered exposure
- follower count and followers gained last month
- stream language, your main country audience if you know it, and your main games
- your schedule
- past sponsors, with one result each if you have it (clicks, code uses, sales)
- the formats you offer, with a price or a starting rate
Here is what that looks like with real channels. ElichTV averaged 281 viewers over 161 hours on 22 days in the 30 days to October 18, 2026, all of it Total War: Warhammer III, with a peak of 516. That is a tight, predictable audience for a strategy publisher or a PC hardware brand. StockJock averaged 182 viewers over 155 hours, peaking at 292, almost entirely in Stock Market: The Game, a fit for brands that would never think of buying a gaming stream. Both channels are small, and both are easy to explain in one sentence, which is what a media kit is for.
How much do Twitch sponsorships pay?
We do not publish rate data, and there is no single market price. Prices are usually set per deliverable (a stream, a segment, a read, a panel link) and scaled to expected exposure, so the useful number to bring to the table is hours watched.
The math is simple. A two-hour sponsored stream on a channel averaging 281 viewers delivers about 562 hours watched. Quote a price, divide it by the hours watched you expect, and you have your cost per hour watched, the same figure the brand will calculate on its side. If you want to see the other side of that negotiation, our guide to Twitch influencer marketing explains how brands vet and compare streamers.
Disclose every deal
Twitch requires sponsored content to be disclosed with its Branded Content tool in the creator dashboard, and Creator Camp adds that gifted items should be disclosed even when no money changed hands. Say it out loud too, at the start of each sponsored segment, so nobody watching the VOD later has to guess.
Before you pitch: grow the number brands look at
If your average is under 25, put growth ahead of pitching. More hours, a steadier schedule and a narrower category move that number further, and we show what that looked like for real channels in how to get viewers on Twitch.
Streaming on Kick as well? Kick channels have far fewer followers per viewer: a median of 23 for every average viewer, against 116 on Twitch, for channels averaging 100 to 999 viewers. Pitch a Kick audience on average viewers and hours watched. The Kick rankings and Twitch rankings show where your channel sits today.
About the data
All figures are Streamer Radar data for September 19 to October 18, 2026, for Twitch channels that streamed at least 10 hours (40 hours for the follower ratios). Average viewers is a channel's time-weighted average concurrent viewers across all its streams in the window. Very small channels are undercounted, so the counts in the table are floors.
